10 days long training of teachers of Sheikh Russell Digital Lab educational institutions

The Department of Information and Communication Technology has undertaken various activities intending to build a Smart Bangladesh by 2041 announced by the Honorable Prime Minister. “Shaikh Russell Digital Lab Establishment Project '' is a flagship project of the Directorate. Under the project, Sheikh Russel Digital Lab has been set up in 9001 educational institutions including 4001 in 1st phase and 5000 in 2nd phase in various educational institutions across the country. Also, 300 "Sheikh Russel Schools of Future" have been set up in 300 parliamentary constituencies. To properly manage, use and maintain the labs, a total of 36,020 teachers from educational institutes receiving Sheikh Russell Digital Lab have been given 10 days of training on "ICT in Education Literacy, Troubleshooting and Maintenance". An average of 200 batches of 20 people per batch will be trained through 9 vendor institutes. 4 batches will be held with a total of 84 teachers from 21 educational institutions in Sonargaon Upazila. 1st batch training program is ongoing from 29th May 2023 AD. State Minister Mr Junaid Ahmed Palak, under the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology Sheikh Russel Digital Lab Project, participated online as the chief guest in the opening ceremony of the training program for the teachers of the institutes that received the Lab.
