Department of ICT was established on 31st July, 2013 for some noble purposes of the Govt of Peoples republic of Bangladesh. 'Digital Bangladesh' concept was introduced by current Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to fulfill the 'Vision 2021' and for establishing Digital Bangladesh, Govt has emphasized on this sector. For ensuring proper utilization of ICT and technical support in District, Upazila and Union level, sending the ICT facilities to grass root level, Govt introduced DoICT.
